Inspired by Stephanie's competition (and the very neat Mr Linky, which I haven't used before!) I'm running a competition to win a signed copy of Mr Darcy, Vampyre!
All you have to do is to mention Mr Darcy, Vampyre on your blog, Twitter or website etc and include the link to this post - you can just copy and paste it, here it is:
http://mrdarcyvampyre.blogspot.com/2009/07/competition.html
Or use the tiny url if you prefer: http://tinyurl.com/n2zn9j
Then come back here and click on Mr. Linky - link directly to your post about Mr Darcy, Vampyre and not just to your blog’s home page, please.
If you don’t have a blog etc but would like to enter the competition anyway, just leave a comment on this post!
Closing date is midnight on August 1st (London time). I'll pick a winner at random from everyone who joins in and announce their name here on August 2nd

Just added, and looks like I'm first! :) Just a quick question - can we add the links to all the places we posted, or just one? And definitely like the US cover better. ;)

Tweeted and added. And I agree, I like the US one better.
ReplyDeleteI linked it to my Giveaway Page! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lois! Yes, you can add links for all the places you've posted and congrats on being the first :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's really interesting to get your takes on the different covers. I love the US cover, too, in fact I've set it as my desktop! Having said that, I love the UK cover, too. What do you particularly love about the US one? Is it the colours or the cameo or is it the whole thing overall?
I love the US cover! I think I like it better because the UK cover kind of leaves Darcy looking - well, not so much Darcy like (in my opinion). I think the US cover allows readers to interpret the cover and imagine what Darcy would be like as a vampyre - rather than showing us the gory details. To me the US cover just has more mystery to it. They are both nice covers - but I'm glad that being a Minnesotan it's the US cover I'll get to hold.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything Miss Remmers said . . . the U.S. cover provides us with the mystery! I can't wait to read this book when it comes out!
ReplyDeleteThe US cover is AWESOME!! I totally can't wait to get my hands on your book (and thanks so much for mentioning Everything Austen)!! I'm off to tweet about your contest!
ReplyDeleteThe covers are just gorgeous. I like the US cover particularly...the cameo and the droplets of blood just add to the thriller aspect of this book!
ReplyDeleteThis wouldn't fit on my blog right now, but if I win the book I will review it on my blog. : )

I am so excited to read this book! I'd love to win a copy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm so excited for this! I just posted it on my blog! And I really love both covers.
ReplyDeletei must say i prefer the u.k. cover!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read a different kind of vampire book, I prefer the U.S. cover, A good cover is everything to a book.
ReplyDeleteI used Mr. Linky...which I really like too! But I wanted to comment on the cover. I prefer the US cover to the UK cover. I like the cameo with the blood drops. The UK cover is good too...but I like the other better.
ReplyDeletePosted it just now on my twitter: http://twitter.com/PamelaKKinney
ReplyDeleteOh how I would love to win a signed copy,,,thank you so much for doing this and I cant wait to read it...
ReplyDeleteLovely covers. The US one is mysterious, but the UK one lets you know exactly what you're getting. Blood and all. :)

I added my link to Mr Linky, also posted on the sidebar of my blog.
ReplyDeleteBut I wanted to add what I thought about the covers too. While I like both of them, I prefer the US version. The cameo with the blood drops below it, just gives a sense of mystery.
I do have a blog and I'm also holding a contest, I've just never used Mr. Linkie and I don't know how to! LOL Sad, I know...I'm so not computer savvy! LOL
